Climb Pico Moutain
From the rooftop of the Atlantic, 2351 m, you may see 5 of 9 islands of the archipelago
- Departure at 7.30am from Lajes (in a small bus) or at 8.00am from the trail starting point (Casa da Montanha). It takes 8 hours to climb and descend Portugal’s highest mountain.
- The prices includes ‘Mountain Tax’.
- Prepare your own picnic, or let us organise it (8 euros per person).
This hike is recommended for people in good physical condition as the approximate difference in altitude is 1 100 meters, and the ground of the 4km trail is in poor condition. If you have any health conditions and/or have had surgery within the last 12 months, please advise on the booking form. We may be able to adjust the activity to allow you to participate. Please note, this activity is NOT suitable for people who have heart related conditions and knee problems. It is also NOT recommended for people who have been diving within 30 hours before the planned climb
