During thousands of hours passed at sea, Espaço Talassa has proved the presence of 4 new species in the Azores, which do not count on the official list. They are the Bryde’s whale Balaenoptera edeni, the Long finned pilot whale Globicephala melaena, the Blainville’s beaked whale Mesoplodon densirostris and the Fraser's Dolphin Lagenodelphis hosei.
